Lately I have been having dreams I remember having years ago; I'm talking about 20 or so years ago. The strange part is while I was in the dream I reconised it as being a dream I already had. I even mentioned it to the main person in my dream.
My high school sweetheart has been in my dreams more and more too. Not sure if that is because I'm starting to realize that I have fewer years ahead of me and I'm reflecting back to the best years of my life. Or could it be my dreams are showing me what I missed out on. There has been only one other woman in my life that has effected me so much, emotionally, but it is the first one I dream about.
Even to this day I think of her several times a month, something will trigger a memory pod and I'll be wondering what could have been. I did an internet search for her a couple years ago and found her. She is single, or should I say not married, not to say she isn't seeing someone. I believe she has a daughter. She runs her own business, pet care and breeds champion dogs for show. She is also a registered dog handler for shows. I've been able to see a few photos as recent as 2005 of her getting awards for the breed. Yes she looks great, and I'd recognize her on the street to this day.
I wish I could say hello to her.

- I'm a single male who feels there has got to be something better out there. Life is to short and I have more years behind me then I do going forward. I really hate where I work and it adds a great deal of stress. Perhaps this might be a outlet for me to relieve some of that stress in my life.

I think you need to call her. Never mind how long it has been or the current relationship status for either one of you.
Re-kindle the friendship and get to know her again. You know... the years help us grow into individuals. Develop, kind of like a fine wine.
Maybe your dreams have been telling you to "Stop Dreaming and Call her!"
